FAQ

Questions, Answered Plainly

What the SDK does to your build, how a view is counted, what the revenue split is and what signing the Letter of Intent actually commits you to. If your question isn't here, write to us — we answer every message.

For Developers

Integrating the SDK and getting paid

What do I actually have to build?

Nothing that looks like ad code. You add the DeusADS SDK to your Unity project and place our mesh in the scene wherever you're willing to rent out space. The mesh bends to fit any surface or wraps around a prop you already have, and the creative loads onto it from our servers as a texture. From then on the placement is filled, restyled and measured for you.

Restyling and branding of wearables is still in development.

Which engines and platforms do you support?

Unity is supported today. Unreal Engine and Godot are in progress.

On the delivery side the SDK targets VR headsets — Meta Quest, SteamVR, PlayStation VR and ByteDance PICO — as well as mobile on iOS and Android. If you're on something else, write to us and we'll tell you honestly whether it's close.

What does “restyled” actually mean?

An advertiser uploads a creative and a set of brand rules. Our AI restyles it into your game's visual language — voxel, low-poly, hand-painted, photoreal — so the placement reads as part of your world instead of being pasted on top of it.

The finished asset arrives in your manager for approval. Nothing you haven't signed off appears in your game.

Does the AI run inside my game?

No. Styling happens on our servers, ahead of time. What reaches the headset is a finished, optimised texture that the SDK loads onto the mesh — there is no model, no inference and no generation of any kind on the device.

Will it cost me frames?

No. A placement is a static mesh with a texture loaded from our servers, not a runtime ad view drawn over your scene. There is no video player, no webview and no per-frame work attributable to us.

What happens when nobody has booked a placement?

It runs cross-promo for another title on the network, restyled into your art direction like any paid placement. That costs neither studio anything — your game gets free traffic on their surfaces, and theirs on yours.

A player never sees an empty slot or a grey box.

Do I control what shows up in my game?

Completely. You can switch off entire categories — alcohol, gambling, politics, competitors — per project or across your whole account, block named advertisers, review each creative before it goes live, and kill any single placement in any single scene.

How much do I earn?

An advertiser pays for impressions in your game. Our fee for restyling, delivery and hosting is 10–20% of that spend; the rest is paid out to your studio, per impression.

There is no subscription, no setup fee and no minimum spend. Pilot studios keep their share for the full pilot term.

When and how do I get paid?

Reporting is same-day. Payouts run monthly, by bank transfer, against the impressions recorded in that period.

Am I locked in?

No. There is no exclusivity clause and no minimum term — you can pull the SDK out of your next build whenever you like.

For Advertisers

Placements, measurement and billing

How can I advertise my brand in games?

In three formats. Branded products — your packaging wrapped around a prop the player picks up and uses. Wearables, still in development — your brand on something a character wears. And banners and environment — signage along the natural sightlines of a level.

Which games will my brand be in?

You see the shortlist before anything is booked, and you can strike any title off it. Nothing runs in a game you haven't agreed to.

Will the AI restyling change how my brand looks?

Only how it is rendered, never what it is. You upload a brand ruleset alongside the creative — locked colours, fixed logo geometry, safe margins, minimum size and effects that may never be applied — and the styling works inside it. Proportions are fixed; logos are never stretched or cropped.

Before launch you review every styling variant — one per art style, not one per title — and strike out any you don't like. Nothing goes live without your sign-off and the studio's.

How do you count a view?

Every impression carries time on screen, angle and size — not a fired request. Interactions with your object are counted and reported separately from views.

How am I billed?

Views are the base rate, billed on verified impressions only. Interactions are priced separately. Restyling, delivery and hosting are part of the media price rather than a line item on top.

Is there a minimum spend or an exclusivity requirement?

No to both. A campaign can be a single flight or a full season, and nothing obliges you to keep buying.

Can I change a campaign once it's live?

Yes. Caps and exclusions can be changed mid-flight. Creative changes go through the same sign-off as the original — both sides approve before anything ships to players.

How is targeting done?

Contextually. A placement is chosen by the game, the scene and the audience the title already has, rather than by following an individual across apps.

The Pilot & The LOI

What signing up actually means

What is the pilot?

Our platform and SDK are not generally available yet. The pilot is a first group of indie VR and mobile studios onboarded onto the SDK, together with a small set of brands, so the workflow gets validated on real titles and real campaigns before the network opens more broadly.

What does the Letter of Intent commit me to?

Nothing. It records that you want early access and roughly when. It isn't a contract, and it doesn't oblige you to ship anything or to spend anything.

My game isn't announced yet.

Most pilot projects aren't. We sign an NDA before you send us anything you'd rather not have in the open.

How quickly do you reply?

Within two business days, with the Letter of Intent attached and the terms that would apply to your project.

Data & Privacy

What the SDK reports and who sees it

What does the SDK report?

Placement-level measurement: which placement was on screen, for how long, at what angle and size, and whether the player interacted with it. This is what both sides of the marketplace get billed and paid on.

Who can I talk to about data protection?

Write to sales@deusads.com and the request will reach the right person. We will tell you what we hold, why, and how to exercise your rights under the GDPR.

Still Not Sure?

The fastest way to get a straight answer about your specific project is to ask us directly.
